John 14:15-21

"If you love me, keep my commandments. I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever––the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also."

John 18:33-37 Christ the King (Wuori)

Have you ever heard Jesus called a king? There are several different places in the Bible where he’s called one – and this week’s Gospel reading is one of them. Why do you think he might be called that? What does it mean when we call someone “king?” (Solicit children’s answers.) A king is a leader of his people. That makes it a pretty good name for Jesus, doesn’t it?

John 14:1-14

"Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also."

John 13:31-35

Jesus said, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
