Ruth 1:1-18
Ruth said, "Don't entreat me to leave you, and to return from following after you, for where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.

Jacob wrestled with a man until the breaking of day. When the man saw that he didn't prevail against Jacob, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was strained, as he wrestled.
You shall lay up these my words in your heart; and you shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes. You shall teach them your children. You shall write them on the door posts of your house.
The children of Israel came to Deborah for judgment. She said, "Hasn't Yahweh commanded, 'Take ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun? I will draw to you Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, and I will deliver him into your hand.'"
Laban had two daughters. The name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. Leah's eyes were weak, but Rachel was beautiful in form and attractive.
Jacob dreamed. Behold, a stairway set upon the earth, and its top reached to heaven––the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Yahweh stood above it, and said, "The land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed."
You shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day.
Esau said to Jacob, "Please feed me with that red stew, for I am famished." Jacob said, "First, sell me your birthright." Esau said, "Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?" He sold his birthright to Jacob.
Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah's tent, and she became his wife. He loved her. Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.
"If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh."
