  • Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 6-9

    Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances, which I teach you, to do them; that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, gives you.

  • Deuteronomy 5:12-15

    Observe the Sabbath, to keep it holy, as Yahweh your God commanded you. You shall labor six days, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God, in which you shall not do any work.

    Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God; Yahweh is one: and you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

  • Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 14b-16a

    You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

    You shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day.

  • Deuteronomy 11:18-21, 26-28

    You shall lay up these my words in your heart; and you shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes. You shall teach them your children. You shall write them on the door posts of your house.

  • Deuteronomy 18:15-20

    Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him. (See also Matthew 17:5; Mark 9:7; Luke 9:35)

  • Deuteronomy 26:1-11

    You shall rejoice in all the good which Yahweh your God has given to you, and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the foreigner who is in the midst of you.

  • Deuteronomy 30:9-14

    This commandment is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. But the word is very near to you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it.

  • Deuteronomy 30:15-20

    I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil. Love Yahweh your God; walk in his ways; and keep his commandments, that you may live, and that Yahweh may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.

  • Deuteronomy 34:1-12

    Yahweh said to Moses, "This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your seed.' I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there."
