1 John 1:1 – 2:2 Glitter (Edstrom)
No one can see the beauty of mica while the rock is in the earth covered with soil, but when it is unearthed and exposed to the sun the little crumbs of mica, that are a part of the rock, glitter.

The apostle Paul tells us that God's love brings blessings to all of us. He says, "Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it (share in its blessings)" (9:23). Work hard and share the blessings of God's love.
DELL SMITH KLEIN began ministering to children in a vacation Bible school. By the following summer she opened a little puppet training class where she taught puppeteering and script writing. Dell and her puppeteers traveled as "The Master's Puppeteers," to rural areas carrying the Gospel message to children and their parents. Since the 1970s, Dell [...]
The Bible tells us to “build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11 WEB). We are to reassure, or support each other with our words. We want to encourage our friends and our brothers and sisters. The word “encourage” means to build up, to inspire, or cheer up someone. Can you think of some words we might say to encourage someone?
Together knowledge and love are good things. You must have both. Learn all you can and then let love build you up into a strong, solid person who honors others and honors God.
How long is forever? Yes, it is a time that will not end. What a comfort to know those loved ones who have died will "be with the Lord forever." The Scriptures tell us that God is with us always. God loves us now and without end.
Jesus explained that all the things people had predicted (said would happen) many years before came about and it was time for Him to return and be with God. The Bible tells us that while Jesus was blessing his disciples he was "carried up into heaven." We are offered God's love and grace because of this story–– because of what Jesus did.
We must practice and memorize numbers that go together and produce a sum. Let's work with a simple example. Are there three volunteers? I will give each of you two marbles. Now we have a multiplication problem. If we multiply two marbles (2) by three kids (3) we get our answer: 6. (Personalize this example with something that is available and works for you.) To learn how to be kind we must also practice.
We know that it is important to take good care of our bodies so we can stay healthy, but the Bible teaches us there is another reason to take care of our bodies. "…Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God?" (6:19). When you accept God's love His Spirit becomes a part of who you are. Your body becomes like a temple or a church where God's Spirit lives.
Sometimes birds are used to send messages. They are called carrier pigeons or homing pigeons. Messages are strapped to the bird's back or a leg and the bird is able to fly several miles, sometimes hundreds of miles, back to its home. You are the way God sends his message of love to others. God's love works in you. It is a message that can change your life and the lives of others.
