The Bible tells us to “build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11 WEB). We are to reassure, or support each other with our words. We want to encourage our friends and our brothers and sisters. The word “encourage” means to build up, to inspire, or cheer up someone. Can you think of some words we might say to encourage someone?

We know that it is important to take good care of our bodies so we can stay healthy, but the Bible teaches us there is another reason to take care of our bodies. "…Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God?" (6:19). When you accept God's love His Spirit becomes a part of who you are. Your body becomes like a temple or a church where God's Spirit lives.

Messages are strapped to the bird's back or a leg and the bird is able to fly several miles, sometimes hundreds of miles, back to its home. You are the way God sends his message of love to others. God's love works in you. It is a message that can change your life and the lives of others.
