Because they have been raised with Christ, they should seek the things that are above, where Christ is.
Paul counsels the Colossian Christians not to allow anyone to tempt them to follow anyone except Christ––not to allow anyone to persuade them to become subservient to Jewish laws concerning religious observances and kosher food.
Paul rejoices in his sufferings for the cause of Christ, who commissioned him to make the word of God known. For this purpose, Paul toils with all the energy that God has given him.

Paul encourages the Philippian Christians to emulate his example of faith. The end of those who live as enemies of Christ is destruction.
Put on the whole armor of God to enable you to stand against the wiles of the devil. Pray in the Spirit at all times.
Paul outlines his credentials as a faithful Jew. However, he now regards these as nothing in comparison to what he has gained in Christ.
