I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in his word. My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning. Israel, hope in Yahweh, for with Yahweh there is loving kindness. He will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Have mercy on us, Yahweh, have mercy on us, for we have endured much contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scoffing of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.

Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. Let Israel now say that his loving kindness endures forever. Let those who fear Yahweh say that his loving kindness endures forever.

I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy. Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

Yahweh is gracious and merciful. He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant. He has shown his people the power of his works. The works of his hands are truth and justice.

Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary.

Yahweh covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain. He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.

Yahweh will deliver you from the snare of the fowler. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.

A thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past. You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass that sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry.

“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
