Even though we can't see the teapot we can feel its shape. Faith is like that. We can't see it, but through God's love, we feel the shape of it in our lives. Faith is there when you show God's love to others by the work you do and it is also there when you make good choices. Faith is your belief in God. Faith is always wrapped in love.
Guides, called sherpas, go with people who want to climb the Himalayan Mountains, some of the highest mountains in the world. We all have many choices to make each day. Some choices are difficult. Sometimes we don't have enough information to make good choices. We need good guides.
What we learn from this story is that change is possible. Each one of us can realize our mistakes, accept God's love and be changed for the better. We are the same person, but with God's love in our life we make better choices. This story has a happy ending.
There are many ways to honor God. Enjoying all our senses; being able to see, feel, hear, taste, and smell and giving thanks for those gifts is a way to honor God. Let your thanks fill the house like the fragrance of perfume.
Kids know a lot about the Holy Spirit – God's Spirit that lives in us. Let's talk about that. God's Spirit listens to our prayers and helps us know right from wrong. It teaches us about God's love and how to share that love in the world. The Spirit brings us joy and causes us to give thanks for all of God's gifts.
Here is an example of doing something good for the right reason: It is good to want to please your parents because they love you and they want the best for you. Pleasing your parents also pleases God. When you honor your parents you are doing something for the right reason.

The Bible teaches us that God "is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (13:8). God's love is unchanging and something we can count on. God's unchanging and constant love gives us reason to be cheerful and brave. "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear" (13:6).
Let me tell you one more thing about Jesus. I have believed in Jesus for many years, and he has helped me through many difficult times. I know that he loves me, and that he makes my life better. Jesus loves you too. Jesus especially loves children. Believe in him. Pray to him. Love him, and he will make your life better too.
